A proud and honorable veteran of the U.S. Navy, Michael enlisted in 1962, serving with distinction during the Vietnam War. As a Boiler Technician on the USS John A. Bole (DD-755), he earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. In 1978, he continued his service as a Hull Technician on the USS Luce (DDG-38) before being honorably discharged in 1980, right after the birth of his first son.
Michael's warm spirit and infectious laughter were a source of joy for all who knew him. He had a knack for telling jokes and sharing entertaining stories from his life's adventures, always lightening any room with his quick wit. His love for life was celebrated not just through his humor but also through the bonds he formed with his family, friends, and community.
He leaves behind his common-law spouse, Christine Largent, and his beloved sons, Adrian Marchand and Joshua Allen. Michael is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Nicola Marchand, his cherished grandchildren, Helios Allen and Thorin Marchand, along with his sisters Alicia Bisognano and Marlene Crosswell.
Though Michael will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts he warmed, the laughter he inspired, and the stories he shared.
