Michael James Allgaier

Mike Allgaier, 69, of Whitehouse, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2025. Born on March 6, 1956, Mike was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. His life was a beautiful testament to his deep faith, unwavering love for his family, and commitment to serving others.
Visitation will take place at Stewart Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a rosary on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Bernie; their sons, Kevin Allgaier and Daniel Allgaier (Morgan); his brothers, Carl Allgaier (Teresa) and Larry Allgaier (Janet); brother-in-law Gus Banaszak (Trina); and honorary brothers Gary Strack (Phyllis) and Larry Strack (Jeanette). He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cherished friends, and fellow volunteers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gil and Elisa Allgaier, and his in-laws, Gus and Dorothy Banaszak.
A man of simple joys and steadfast dedication, Mike found immense happiness in spending time with family and friends, tending to his yard, and mastering the art of outdoor grilling, particularly as a Master of Smoked Meat. He took great pride in meticulously washing and waxing all vehicles. Although he rarely took vacations, he treasured trips to Arkansas to visit loved ones.
As a devout Catholic, Mike lived his faith through action. Before retiring, he devoted over 30 years to Carrier Corporation, where he held multiple positions throughout his career. In retirement, he committed himself to serving others, volunteering daily at the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Tyler, where he oversaw operations for the Food Pantry and SVDP Thrift Store. His tireless efforts touched countless lives, reflecting his deep compassion and generosity.

Mike's legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
