Michael P. Amber

Michael P. Amber, age 68, a resident of Eagle River, WI passed away on October 22, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1957 in Chicago, IL to the late Leon and Christel (née Wein) Amber.
Mike grew up in Chicago/Mundelein, IL. He spent 35 years working for AT&T as a lineman and engineer. He later enjoyed working up north at Walgreens. He married his wife, Lynda, in 2016 and moved to Eagle River in 2017. Mike had a knack for detailing his vehicles and took great pride in his golf course-like lawn. He was a huge dog lover and enjoyed music, the casino, fishing, boating, old cars and motorcycles. He loved the Northwoods and all of its wildlife. He was an avid Blackhawks and Cubs fan.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents: Leon and Christel; brother: Tommy Amber; and in-laws: Richard and Kathryn Farber.
Michael is survived by his wife: Lynda (née Farber) Amber; daughter: Sareh (Holly) Amber; brother: Peter (Gloria) Amber; sisters-in-law: Kathryn Ashlevitz, Carol (Nick) Itzkowitz, Susan (Joe Baroska) Vavrik, and Ellie (Kevin) Gall; his favorite fishing/hunting buddy and nephew: Ryan (Amy) Amber; many other nieces and nephews; great nieces/nephews; cousins; and many friends.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
As per Mike's wishes, a private family service will be held.
The family is grateful to the Aspirus Wausau Hospital Neuro Critical Care and Palliative Care Units. Their relentless and loving care for Mike was greatly appreciated.
