Our beloved Michael passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 54, after fighting a short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He grew up in the Glasgow/ Newark area of Delaware and lived in New Oxford, Pennsylvania with his long-time love Cathy Hardy.
Mike attended Cecil County Community College where he received his high school diploma, then went on to get his CDL license. He was a dedicated big-rig driver for M. Madic Transportation, supplying essential communications and power supply wire along the East Coast. He experienced many interesting adventures on the road.
Mike loved music from the 60‘s through the 90’s and for many years was a DJ, spinning tunes for weddings, parties, and friends in the Charlestown, Maryland area. His other hobbies were building elaborate scale models of his favorite cars and drawing. His happiest moments were spent just hanging out at home with Cat and his girls cooking on the grill and working on his many projects.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his partner Cathy Hardy, his daughters Kylene and Willow, and Cathy’s daughter Alyssa (and partner, Jake).
Mike is also survived by his mother Bonnie Clements (Curtis); his father Michael Amici; brother Julius (Larisa); stepbrother Brian Clements (Carrie); Aunts Kathy and Patty; Uncles Merritt and James; many cousins; nieces; and his nephew. Mike was predeceased by his grandparents; uncles Jules and Thomas; much loved cousins Kim, Ryan and Ricky; as well as his close friend Brad. In addition, he will be fondly remembered by his friends Michael and Uncle Joe.
Mike left this world at peace and is now reunited with those he loved in heaven. His charismatic spirit and sense of humor will be remembered by us all forever.
Our family would like to thank Bridging Life Hospice for their compassionate care of Mike. A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held at a time and place yet to be determined. The details will be communicated to friends and family as soon as they are available.
