Michael Amos

Michael Amos, age 77, of Russellville, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1947, in Jefferson City. Michael proudly served his country for several years, first in the United States Navy and later in the Missouri National Guard. His commitment to service was a testament to his dedication and love for his country.
Michael was a man of many passions, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, carpentry, riding motorcycles, and dirt track racing. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Jane, sons; Brad Vines (Sheryl), Jerry Flowers (Shannon); son by choice, Hayden Henderson; daughter, Tammie, and brother, Patrick Sherwood (Patricia). Michael was also a proud grandfather to Brandon Vines, Ashley Vines, Scotty Crosby, Regina Flowers, Trent Curtis, and Jake Flowers. He had the joy of watching his family grow, and he was blessed with five great-grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved son, Chad Amos, and his brother Tony Sherwood.
A service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Russellville, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. All friends and family are invited to honor and remember him. There will also be full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Disabled American Veterans (5054 Monticello Road Jefferson City, MO, 65109), a cause close to Michael's heart.
Michael's legacy will live on through the love he shared with his family and the many lives he touched. He will be greatly missed but forever remembered.
