Michael Barton Asenbrenner, 56, of Green Bay, WI passed away from this life on Friday, July 5th, 2024, after losing his battle with liver disease. His father and sister had been continually at his side, and he was in the prayers of many.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife Tina, mother Jeanne, grandparents Edward Asenbrenner and Britton and Annie Morris, uncle Ray, and cousins Aaron and Michael. He is survived by his father John Asenbrenner, sister Ronda (Lance) Otey, nieces Abby (Nick) Janssen, Samantha and Morgan Anderson, and nephews Elijah Otey and James Anderson. He is further survived by his grandmother (Adeline), aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Michael was born November 23, 1967, in Redding, CA. He graduated from Marion High School in 1985 and proudly served his country in the United States Army until 1988. He married his wife, Tina Rogers, in 1996. Michael enjoyed working with his hands, often having jobs in carpentry and building. He was fond of country living, the family farm, his mother's and grandmother's cooking, and missed his motorcycling days. Michael loved all types of music, especially by Bob Dylan, and played saxophone and guitar. He was always ready to help a stranger in need and his love for family and friends was admirable.
Michael will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday July 12, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leopolis with Fr. Timothy Machila officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Military Honors will be conducted by the Caroline American Legion Post # 456. Memorial fund has been established though Wounded Warriors Project or Clement J. Jablocki Veterans Memorial.
