Michael Cortes Baldwin

Michael Cortes Baldwin, 58, of Highspire, PA, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Born in Price Georges County, MD, on January 6, 1968. He was the son of Anna (Baldwin) Buchanan and James Strachan. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Pearl Idalee Oakes, and her husband, Chapman Oakes, Princeton, WV; maternal grandmother, Thelma Swanson, and her husband, James Swanson, Harrisburg, PA.

He was a graduate of Princeton High School, Princeton, WV, class of 1985, and had attended Concord College, Concord, WV, from 1985 until 1986.

Michael was an avid reader who loved football and family gatherings.

Surviving are his mother, Anna (Baldwin) Buchanan; sister, Erica A. Roberts; aunt, Velma P. Baldwin; cousin, Leslie Baldwin; nephew, Edwin Baldwin; uncle, John E. Baldwin all of Harrisburg, PA; cousin, Lauren Baldwin of Washington, DC; niece, Janice Baldwin of Indiana, PA; father, James Strachan of Hamden, CT. He is also survived by numerous relatives from the Swanson branch of the family: aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P. M. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at William Howard Day Cemetery, 801 Lincoln Street, Steelton, PA 17113.
