Michael W. Bard

Michael W. Bard, 70, of Lemasters, PA passed away June 1, 2025 at his home.
Born July 2, 1954 in Chambersburg, PA he was a son of the late Wayne W. and Shirley A. (Maun) Bard.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, PA.
He worked in receiving/precision inspection for Grove Manufacturing for 4 years, also Fairchild /Rohr Industries, Electromet Corp., Getinge Castle, & was last employed at Leidy's Woodworking as a cabinet maker for over 20 years.
Mike enjoyed rock music and rock concerts, riding his Harley motorcycles, and building model rockets. He was a craftsman woodworker & would open his Santa's workshop to make Christmas gifts for family. Mike made beautiful furniture pieces, enjoyed antiquing and keeping a pristine lawn.
Surviving family include his wife, Ruby I. (Mellott) Bard, whom he married August 11, 1972. A son, Joel L. (Marci) Bard of Mercersburg, brother, Steve E. (Melva J.) Bard of Fort Loudon, PA. Mother-in-law, Betty Mellott, sister in laws, Nancy (Eric) Dysinger, Penny Mellott, and nephews, Cole (Miranda) Yoder, and Easton Bard and many longtime friends. Mike was preceded in death by a son, Timothy M. Bard, nephew Chad Bard and an infant sister, Teressa Ann Bard.

Funeral service 2 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg, with Pastors Floyd Myers and Vlad Corea officiating. Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Lemasters.
Viewing from 12 PM to 2 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
