Michael Lawrence Berger, affectionately known as Mike, was born on December 27, 1961, in Brooklyn, NY. He passed away suddenly on November 21, 2025, leaving a legacy of warmth, joy, and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Mike dedicated over 30 years of his life as a committed US Postal Employee, bringing reliability and service to his community. His devotion to his work was matched only by his vibrant and engaging personality; he was truly the life of the party. Mike had an exceptional talent for transforming ordinary moments into joyful memories, especially when he hosted friends and family, delighting them with his culinary skills and infectious laughter.
Christmas held a special place in Mike's heart, a time when he shared his love for family and celebration. Amongst his greatest joys were his three daughters, Elaina Chamberlain, Alexis Martin, and Chelsea Berger. Mike's love for them was boundless, and he often spoke of them as his proudest accomplishments. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Christian II, Colton, Chiara, and Nathaniel, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
A die-hard baseball fan, Mike's loyalty to the New York Mets was unwavering. He also found great pleasure in stimulating his mind while watching Jeopardy, often outsmarting his fellow viewers with his extensive knowledge. His brother, Carlos Rosello, will remember him fondly, holding dear the countless memories they shared.
Mike is preceded in death by his loving mother, Delia Menendez. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Joylena Giumarra, who was his partner in every sense, and a family that adored him deeply.
Family and friends are invited to honor Mike's life at a graveside service on December 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain, NC, where we will come together to celebrate his remarkable spirit and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts.
Though he may no longer walk among us, Mike’s laughter, love, and passion for life will forever resonate in our memories, and we are all better for having known him.
