Michael Bunch Bishop, born on November 25, 1964, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, on December 25, 2025. He was a simple man who touched the lives of those around him and will be dearly missed.
As a proud Army veteran, Michael served his country with honor. After his time in the military, he enjoyed a life filled with family and cherished moments. He loved listening to music, travelling, and found joy in spending quiet mornings on the front porch, sipping coffee and bourbon.
Michael was married to his wife of 37 years, Shawna Bishop (nee Link), with whom he shared a deep bond. He was the loving father of two sons, Zachary (Rachael) Bishop and Austin (Demarae Collins) Bishop. Michael took great pride in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Noah, Sailor, Imrie, and Gideon. They were his proudest accomplishments, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Edith Rae Bishop (nee Prince), and his father, Marion Bishop. He leaves behind a host of family members and friends who remember him with love and fondness. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
