Michael “Mike” Boeck, 75, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2024 surrounded by his children and eldest grandson.
Mike was born on November 28, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to Jack and Laura (Wells) Boeck. He graduated from Highlands High School and then served in the Army. After the Army, Mike worked as a salesman and manager at Firestone for 35 years until he retired in 2012. He returned to work at Firestone part time to keep himself busy in his retirement.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Jack Boeck & Laura Galvin, brothers Jack “Skip” Boeck & Howard Cunningham, and sister Kandy Stoddard. He is survived by his sisters Misty Galvin, Roxanne Cardenas, Tish Boeck, & Cheryl Tidwell, Godparents Raymond & Lucille Schnieder, son Michael Boeck Jr. (Raquel) daughters Laurie Norvik (Chris), Lisa Martinez (Abel), and Lindsay Mangold (Brandon) grandchildren Cody Burton, Conner, Kenneth & Caden Martinez, Brooks Boeck, Hudson, Waylon, & Taytum (to be born in March 2025) Mangold, numerous nieces & nephews, and his too many to count friends, neighbors & coworkers.
Mike never knew a stranger and would help anyone build a fence, mow a lawn, or work on a car. The impact he had on so many people is evident in the love that surrounded him in his final weeks. Our family is forever grateful for this love. He adored all of his grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to attend a birthday party, holiday celebration, trick or treat, or tell them a scary story. A thank you to the Bristol Hospice team who kept him comfortable and supported our wonderful dad.
We will honor our dad on November 30, 2024 with a celebration of his life at Shady Oaks Ranch. Please wear your Dallas Cowboys gear and bring any stories, photos, or other memories to share. We would love to celebrate his life with all who loved him. Psalm 23.
