Michael Borowik Obituary
November 20, 1937 - December 4, 2024
Michael Stern Borowik passed away on December 4, 2024, in Stamford, CT. Michael was born on November 20, 1937, in Bridgeport, CT and was raised by his late parents Rae and Simon Borowik, as well as his late stepmother, Isabelle Borowik.
Michael attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut. It was there that he met the love of his life, Sandra Linde.
After college, Michael built a career in manufacturing children's wear and in his later years became a real estate agent. Thanks to a strong work ethic he found success in both industries.
Michael's love for travel took him and his family on numerous adventures. He loved playing golf and bridge with friends and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Michael's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He is survived by Sandy, his beloved wife of almost 65 years, his children Robert (Amy) and Lisa (Robert), his cherished grandchildren Rebecca, Ian and Josh and stepbrother Dr. Michael Newton. Michael was predeceased by his stepsister, Ann Zeisler.
A graveside funeral service will take place at Temple Beth El Cemetery, 360 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT at 1pm, Monday December 16 (drive thru the gate to park), followed by a Celebration of Life service and Shiva at 2:30pm at Temple Sinai, 458 Lakeside Drive, Stamford, CT.
Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Sinai, Temple Beth El, Silver Source, or the Alzheimer's Association.
