BOVEN, Michael Patrick – of New Baltimore, MI, age 53, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Dieudonné Ntakarutimana officiating. Interment immediately following the service in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Friday, March 22, 2024 and 10-11 AM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. Sharing of Memories will be held at 5 PM followed by a Rosary at 6:30 PM Friday, March 22, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Genesee County, in Michael's memory.
Michael was born in Flint, MI on June 5, 1970, son of Jacqueline B. Booth and the late Patrick H. Boven. He married Amy Thi Minh Dang on July 29, 2011 in New Baltimore, MI. Michael worked for Quicken Loans, now Rocket Mortgage, since 2003. He was a top producing, Triple Crown mortgage banker. Michael loved sports, spending time with family and traveling. Most of all Michael loved being a dad and his beautiful daughter, Megan was his pride and joy. Their father and daughter bond was unbreakable. Michael enjoyed riding the biggest roller coasters at Cedar Point, going to Michigan Wolverine football games (among other Michigan games), going on trips to Vietnam with his wife, Amy and taking summer vacations with family. Michael was a very passionate and fun-loving person. He was always the life of the party just like his dad, Patrick Boven. He was known for his love of Karaoke and his favorite song to sing was "White Wedding" by Billy Idol. He also was a talented pianist and loved to have his family and friends as an audience. Michael was a kind and generous person who was always there for his family and friends. He would do anything for the people he loved and anyone who needed help.
Michael is survived by his wife, Amy Boven; daughter, Megan Snyder and her fiancé, Blake Graham; mother, Jacqueline Booth and step-father, Jim Booth; step-mother, Joy Boven (wife of the late, Patrick H. Boven); sister, Carmen Nesbit and her husband, Jeff Nesbit; sister, Tonya Reber and her husband, Scott Reber; sisters, Tara Boven, Kim Quigley and her husband, Jason Quigley; nephews, Kyle, Tanner, Justin, Gavin, Taj and William; nieces, Xi, Jazmin, Madelyn and Mikki; special to Michael are Emily Snyder (he treated her as a second daughter) and her sons, Liam and Noah who called him "Grandpa Mike"; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick H. Boven and his canine companion, Rusty.
