Michael Boyce Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones & Casey Funeral Home - Salmon on Dec. 9, 2025.
Michael (Mike) Earl Boyce, 55, of Salmon, passed away unexpectedly from health issues on November 23. He was born November 24, 1969 to Gary and Vicki Boyce in Pocatello. He grew up in Salmon and graduated from Salmon High School in 1988.
After graduating high school, he attended Boise State University but found college life was not dangerous enough for him. He needed something more anxiety-inducing for his parents and decided to find his thrill on fishing boats in the Bering Sea in Alaska.
After many years and a few near-death experiences there, he came home to Salmon. He loved the mountains, dirt biking, skiing and riding side by sides with his friends. He was the best armchair quarterback, especially for his favorite team, the Broncos.
In 2005, he welcomed his baby girl Lexi Boyce into the world. They enjoyed camping, gaming and dirt biking together.
He had an affectious laugh, a fierce love for his family and friends, and never met a dog that did not love him.
He is survived by his mom, Vicki; daughter, Lexi; sister, Holly (Paul) Smith; three nieces, Shayla (Jake) Palmer, Morgan (Justin) Myler and Carli (Levi) Woodward; three great nephews and two great nieces and many lifelong friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his dad, Gary; his nephew, Jake Smith; his companion and best friend of 19 years, his faithful dog Yoshi.
As per his request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Lemhi County Humane Society.
