Michael Boyer, 63, of West Boylston, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2025, in Worcester, Massachusetts.
He leaves behind his beloved children, Rachel, 28, and her fiancé Abe, 27, of Ayer, MA, and David, 26, and his wife Nadia, 23, of West Boylston, MA; his cherished siblings, Eric Boyer and his wife Gayle of New Jersey, Merri Starvaski and her husband Peter of Shrewsbury, MA, and his twin sister Melinda of Rhode Island; his wife, Ana Boyer, 64, of Worcester, MA; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Born and raised in Worcester, Michael was the son of the late Wilfred and Saundra (Zweben) Boyer. He was also predeceased by his beloved aunt, Sarah Pearlman, with whom he shared a special bond.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Assumption College and went on to build a long and successful career in supply chain management. He especially cherished his time working with UPS, where he made lasting friendships and memories.
A man of great warmth and wit, Michael found his truest joy in spending time with children and his adored poodle. A devoted fan of Star Trek, a lifelong lover of sweets, and an avid lover of history, he brought humor and light to every room he entered. He had a gift for making people laugh—his sharp, playful sense of humor was one of the many ways he showed his deep love for those around him.
Michael was also a talented cook, fondly remembered for his time at Steve’s Pizza, where his culinary skills were as celebrated as his jokes. Whether shopping at Wegmans, trading quips with family, or sharing stories over a good meal, Michael’s presence was one of warmth, care, and unmistakable charm.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 1st, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of his Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to The Worcester Animal Rescue League, in honor of his deep love for animals.
