Michael Brady Obituary
Michael Joseph Brady died peacefully, at the age of 81, on October 15, 2021 in Santa Rosa. Loving husband to Kay Brady for 55 years. Best friends with Paul Knowlton; beloved Dad of Margie (Tom) BradyLong, Martin (Jody) Brady, Lara (Darren) Kille, and Sherry Brady (Chuck Peterson); Papa to grandchildren Zachary, Kyla, and Becca BradyLong, Eliana Dickerhoff, Marijke, and Aidan Kille, Trevor and Garrett Brady; brother of Maureen Hillard, Frank Brady, Peggy Stancy, Bob, Pat, and Jimmy Brady. He was preceded in death by Larry and Jack Brady. Mike was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco, and an Eagle Scout who lived by their oath every day. He was very involved in the Rosary Group of S. San Francisco. He served proudly as an Army Reserve and retired from Pacific Bell as a splicer after 34 years. After retirement, he devoted his life to helping the less fortunate. He drove weekly food deliveries for St. Vincent de Paul, was a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Color Guard Commander, was active in Catholic Charities, served years of Eucharistic Ministry, was a member of Holy Spirit Men's Club with annual father/daughter & father/son nights, and was constantly helping those in need with residential and auto repairs. Mike touched everyone he met with his kindness, generosity, and his barrel laugh that lit up the room. His greatest joy was family camping.
Friends and family are invited to Mike Brady's vigil service in Santa Rosa on Saturday, October 23 at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave, from 4-8 PM with the Rosary at 6:30. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, October 24 at 2:00 at St. Rose Church, 398 10th St., Santa Rosa. A reception will follow at 3:00 in the Saint Rose Parish Hall.

Again another year has passed. Mike and Kay Brady were wonderful people. Always wanting to help people in need. My Wife Ann was friends with Kay for many years in Santa Rosa. Both helping the less fortunate at St Rose. We miss them both since their passing. Love Tom and Ann McGee

I am sorry to hear of the passing of an old friend.
Mike and I worked together for years helping out at the anointing of the sick at St Rose Parish. We would start early in the morning picking up folks at their homes,residential care facilities and nursing homes.
After the Mass we would take them home.
I always enjoyed our conversations on our trips along with the engagement of our riders and Mike's compassion for them.
I considered both Mike and Kay as good friend's since meeting them in 1983.I worked with Kay at The Alzheimers Respite Center in Santa Rosa. I became so impressed with her patience and love for very confused folks.
Both Mike and Kay were totally dedicated in helping those who were less fortunate.They both touched me in a very special way.

One more time Mike.. So honest and fun --especially when we took a Priest friend who went to SH also--to the SH/SI football game .We ate at Westlake Joes thentothe game. Mike and I remembered that day and it was bringing back memories. So-Mike your with Kay and Blessed Mother now and Jesus---you have your REWARD for being such a good person. Will miss your laugh. Gees -So many of my friends passing gees. Mike , Such a good person with Kay and St.Rose church all those years. I too went to SH in SF. Heart breaking to hear of your passing. I hope Denis O'Sullivan will do y our Mass. May God bless you Mike and you will be with Kay once again. The Brady children --Your Mom and Dad were wonderful people .GOD WILL BLESS BOTH.
