Michael Braga Obituary
Michael Thomas Braga was raised in Norwalk, CT and was a graduate of J.M. Wright Technical High School. He started a career in trucking and transportation at United Postal Service, Consolidated Frieghtways and eventually retired from Toyota Logistical Services as safety manager in 2009. He moved with his first wife Jessie Braga and one son to Southern California in 1988. He was forever an active member of the Catholic Church. He started a liturgical musical vocation at St Jerome Church in the early 1970's. During the 1980's Michael and his wife were very involved with the parish at St Stephen's Catholic Church in Trumbull Connecticut. When he moved to Southern California he soon became a music director at St Peter and St Paul Catholic Church in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Michael led musical worship with his guitar and an amazing voice.
Michael Braga enjoyed his family and many friends. He was well loved by many. Many knew him to be genuine and kind. He loved baseball, 1950's music and WWII history. His favorite pastime was watching Looney Tunes. He will be missed by all and remain in our thoughts and hearts. God has called another angel back home.
Visitation with service will be offered at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040, on Friday, June 16 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am. Mass to follow at 11:00am.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611, Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11:30am.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 21, from 10:00AM to 12:00 noon, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850.
