Michael James Brosmer, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1962, in Indianapolis, to the late James and Ruth Alma (Tillery) Brosmer. Michael married the love of his life, Michelle Rene (Cunningham) Brosmer, on October 4, 1986; she survives.
Michael worked for SSI Services, LLC for 20 plus years as an Industrial Cleaner. He loved to play basketball and had an amazing collection of basketball cards. Michael was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, as well as NASCAR, WWE and Michael Jordan. He could always be found with a Mountain Dew in his hand and giving out all his candy to his great niece and nephews. He loved dogs, especially his dog, Jasper, and grand-dog, Buddy.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Michelle Brosmer; children, Michael "Mike" James (Kandace) Brosmer, II., Clara (Zech) Purvis and John "Joey" Joseph (Erin) Templeton; sister, Brenda Wise and, her children, Kerry and David Wise; Brother-in-law, Craig Schaller; grandchildren, Cooper Rowland, Lilly Templeton, Noah Templeton and a little "princess" Purvis on the way; niece and nephew, Ruth Minch and Jamie White; and dog, Jasper and grand-dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie Schaller; and brother, Doug Brosmer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian Street. A service celebrating his life will follow visitation on Tuesday, November 15 at 12 noon. Cremation will follow services according to Michael's wishes.
