Michael Thomas Callahan-a man who loved God, loved his family, and lived with an open heart and strong spirit entered eternal rest on October 1, 2025

Born in Dallas, Texas, on August 16, 1947, to James and Evelyn Callahan, Michael was welcomed into heaven by his parents, who preceded him in death. Though we grieve his passing, we find peace in knowing they are joyfully reunited.

Michael was deeply proud to be an American. He honored his country by serving two years in the National Guard and four years in the U.S. Army. He also took great honor in volunteering for 10 years in the Cy-Fair Fire Department. He proudly flew his American flag, yet he never lost sight of his 50/50 Irish and Italian heritage. If you ever stepped into his favorite place-his Texas garage-you knew his Irish spirit shined the brightest. Surrounded by Irish flags, signs, and keepsakes, it was a space that reflected his pride and his personality: warm, welcoming, and always ready for a story.

He was a devoted husband to Sharon, the love of his life. Together they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and love. He was a caring father to Joe and Janel, a proud stepfather to Rachael, Mark, and Brooke, and a beloved brother to Judy-a relationship filled with lifelong closeness and playful banter. He also shared a treasured friendship with his best friend and fishing buddy, Larry Douglas.

Michael's greatest joy was his family. Known lovingly as "PawPaw," he adored his grandchildren-Caleb, Caitlin, Toby, Carly, Reecy, Aiden, Brendan, Jaxton, Nathan, Eva, and Bodi and great-grandson Hendrix. His eyes lit up with every story, milestone, and hug they shared.

Michael was steady in faith, strong in love, and quick with a smile or an encouraging word. His presence was humble, calm, and kind. Never harsh, always uplifting, he carried himself with quiet strength and grace.

Though he is no longer with us in body, Michael's spirit, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith live on. As we remember him, may we carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and faith-may we celebrate the blessing of having shared a life with such a wonderful man.

"A proud American, a true Irish soul, and a faithful servant of God."
