Michael J. Chaney

Michael J. Chaney, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was the cherished son of Mary Lou and the late James M. Chaney, beloved brother of Kim (Jerry) Peters, and proud uncle to Daniel Langdon. Michael shared his life with his devoted companion, Robbie Ruwe, and found joy in the loyal companionship of his two beloved dogs, Brooklyn and Peanut. He will be deeply missed by a host of extended family and dear friends who mourn his passing and celebrate his life.
A 1985 graduate of Deer Park High School, Michael went on to study Interior Architecture at the University of Cincinnati. He pursued his passion with dedication, building a meaningful career as an Interior Design Architect-a profession that reflected his creativity, attention to detail, and love for beautiful spaces.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, November 7, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon. Services will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 9431 Shelly Lane, Montgomery, OH 45242, with Brother Brandon Urton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue or Cincinnati Animal Care of Northside-causes close to Michael's heart.
