Michael Joseph Chiofalo, known affectionately as Mike, passed away on September 20, 2024, in Orange City, Florida, at the age of 62. Born on December 30, 1961, in Long Island, New York, Mike was a beacon of joy and generosity throughout his life.
Mike attended Fairfield Elementary School followed by Massapequa High School, where he developed a foundation that would carry him through a life characterized by hard work and a readiness to help others. His ever-present smile and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in his community and among his peers.
Family was the cornerstone of Mike's life. He was a devoted father to Jenna Decristan and Lee Saban-Chiofalo and a proud grandfather to Louis and Theodore.. He is survived by his siblings, Anthony Chiofalo, Beverly Mantikas, Karen Cinelli, and Paul Chiofalo. His legacy also lives on through numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Dolores Chiofalo.
The Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home in Seaford, NY, is assisting the family during this time. Mike's life and spirit will be celebrated and remembered by all who knew him, ensuring his memory will continue to light the lives of many.
Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 9th 3-7 PM
Religious Service at the funeral home will be at 6 PM.

To Anthony, Beverly, Karen and Paul I want to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your brother. I have always felt a connection to all of you - the Chiofalo five, and I still feel that connection. I can't believe Mike is gone he was way too young. Love to all, Linda
