Michael Jon Choate passed away on September 24, 2025. A lifelong sports and outdoor enthusiast, he found joy in tennis, golf, softball, basketball, bowling, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and making cherished annual trips with his family to the Outer Banks, NC. For over 40 years, Mike served as Oakfield's beloved town pharmacist, becoming a well-known and deeply valued member of the community. His warm sense of humor and big heart endeared him to a wide circle of friends, extended family, and most of all, his devoted wife, Roxie.

He is survived by his children: Christopher Choate and his wife Michelle Perrin Choate of Alexander; David Choate and his wife Stephanie Mogavero of Spencerport; and Jennifer Choate Batchellor and her husband Aaron Batchellor of Houston. He was a proud grandfather to Nick Choate, Emily (Choate) Patrick, Natalie Choate, Ryan Choate, Jackson Batchellor, Camden Batchellor, and John Choate. He is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on November 29 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, followed by a graveside service at Reed Cemetery in Oakfield. A celebration of Mike's life will take place at the Caryville Inn, 25 Main Street, Oakfield from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please dress in your Bills gear.
