Terry E. Dickes, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on Wednesday, July 7th, 1948, in Batavia, a son of the late Edward Joseph Dickes and Marian Sarah Hoy Dickes.

A man of varied interests, Terry was a lifetime member of the Western New York Gas & Steam Engine Association. He found joy in participating in plow days in Elba and had a passion for tractors and motorcycles. His love for the open road took him to bike week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and his enthusiasm for NASCAR racing led him to several racetracks across the country.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Boshart Dickes, of Batavia; his loving sons, Mark (Kim) Dickes of Batavia and Todd Dickes of Penfield; and his cherished grandchildren, Alex (Taylor) Dickes, Caitlyn (fiancé Seth Bouse) Dickes, Andrew Dickes-Clark, and Ella Dickes. He also leaves behind his sister, Lynda Dickes of Chapel Hill, NC; sisters-in-law, Sharon Dickes and Sandy Dickes, both of Batavia, Kathy (Terry) Allen of Elba and Pam (Twilly) Lynch of Byron along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Clyde, Neal, Gary, and Thomas Dickes; his sister, Elaine Kaufman; and his half-brother, Francis Hoy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia.
