Michael Thomas "Mike" Christopher

Michael T. Christopher, "Mike", age 44, of Shakopee, MN, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Shakopee.
Mike was born in Edina, MN, on July 24, 1981, the son of David and Susan (Silberg) Christopher. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN, and then graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004. Mike married Karee Rommesmo on September 24, 2011, in Bloomington. He worked in sales for dental and orthodontics industry.
Although not being the best at it, Mike liked fishing, and he liked spending time on the lake at the family cabins. He liked the Chicago Cubs, and the Minnesota Vikings, and his love of sandwiches got him the nickname "Sandwich". He really had fun coaching football, and especially coaching his son, Cullen in the Shakopee Youth Football Association.
Mike had many friends, and they all had many nicknames for him: MC, Big Mike, Sandwich, Tommy, Mikey, and Uncle Mike were just a few.
Mike is survived by his wife, Karee; sons, Cullen and Henry; brother, Jason (Lina). He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Susan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 N. Berens Rd. NW., Prior Lake, MN: Visitation from 9:30-11 AM; followed by Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Livestream of the service will be provided by Shepherd of the Lake. Reception will follow.
