Jylan Marie VanHyfte

Jylan Marie VanHyfte was born December 22, 1947, in Marshall, MN, and passed away on January 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis (Fritz); mother, Coletta; brother, Richard; and her three fur-babies, Ming, Snickers, and Emmi. She is survived by her sisters, Carol (Roman) Born, Marilyn (Jeff) Tillotson, and Peggy (Jim) Yunker; and her brothers, Ron (Peg) VanHyfte and Randy (Debbie) VanHyfte.

Her "favoritist" nephew and nieces, John Yunker, Jaime Yunker, Jen (Anand) Prasad, Kellie Eastman, and Jill VanHyfte (Gavin Martin), held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by great-nieces Alexandra, Camryn, and Peyton Eckman, Maddie Seter, and Maci Eastman, along with many relatives and friends.

Her greatest joy was her family, and she always looked forward to the annual VanHyfte Christmas cookie-baking day, where everyone thought she never put enough frosting on the sugar cookies. She was an Elvis fanatic and even had the chance to see him perform in Minneapolis. Her great sense of humor drew people to her, and she truly never met a stranger.

In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball (with Carol) and broomball. Jylan was an avid Minnesota sports fan, especially of the Twins, Lynx, and Golden Gopher Women's Basketball. After her "semi-retirement," she enjoyed traveling the country in her travel trailer-particularly throughout the southwestern United States-and working on diamond art.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Family prefers memorials.
