94, of Johnston passed away Thursday June 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherina (D’Ercole) Colacone.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Anna (Gesualdi) Colacone. Michael is survived by his daughter Brenda Gentile of Johnston and fiancé Michael Almonte, and his son Michael Colacone, Ret, CPD and his wife Terri from Loudon Tennessee.
Mr. Colacone was the grandfather of Lisa and her husband David Venditelli, Carmine Gentile, Brandi and her husband Bret Zimmerman, Morgan and her husband Craig Johnson. Mr. Colacone was the great-grandfather of Catherina Venditelli, He was the brother of the late Columbine Russolino, Mary Marble and Daniel Colacone.
Mr. Colacone was a foreman for Coro Jewelers for 35 years before retiring. He was an avid sports fan, he loved watching all the games but was a big fan of the New York Yankees. He was known for pickling cherry hot peppers and stuffing them for the holidays for his family and friends. He loved being around his family and loved being around people.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2024, at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church 305 Laurel Hill Ave. Providence at 11 am followed by Entombment in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday Morning from 8:30 am -10am
