Michael B. "Benjy" Cook

Conway….. Michael Benjamin "Benjy" Cook, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Mr. Cook was born in Conway, a son of the late Michael Rutherford Cook and late Sherry Bozeman Wells. He was a member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher, and had served on various committees at Good Hope Baptist Church. Prior to retirement in December of 2024, he was employed by Frito Lay for 33 years. He was most recently employed by Shaftsbury Glen Golf Course. Mr. Cook was an avid golfer and fisherman and was a University of North Carolina Tarheel basketball fan. He enjoyed serving at the Shepherds Table in Conway.

Surviving are: his wife, Michelle Hamilton Cook of Conway; two sons, Raleigh Cook and Ramsey Cook, both of Conway; one brother, Andy Cook of Simpsonville, SC; mother in law, Linda Hamilton of Conway, two brother in laws, Jody Hamilton (Suzy) of Conway and Matt Hamilton (Donna) of Aynor; and nephews, a niece, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. John Sullivan and Rev. John Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday.
