Michael K. Coon, 60, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center.
Michael was born on November 29, 1963 in Milwaukee to Stanley Jr. and Carol (Meronek) Coon.
He attended Milwaukee Public Schools and moved to central Wisconsin in the mid 80's. He spent most of life driving a school bus, most recently for Kobussen bus in Marshfield WI with the Special Needs and after school sporting events.
Michael loved to sing - especially to Elvis Presley. He liked to do yard work in the summertime. He strongly disliked winter, especially when he had to shovel. He enjoyed watching plants grow and liked the sunshine. Michael loved his pets and his students on the Special Needs bus.
He is survived by his mother Carol Coon of Marshfield, significant other Lisa Winkler of Marshfield for almost 20 years. His 2 sisters and 1 brother, Cathleen (Don) Arcuri of Colorado Springs and Coleen Hein of Plover, and Sean Coon of Wautoma. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Like step-children Cassandra Mihalko of Argonne, Cody Diercks of Granton, Kyle Diercks of Plover, Dustin Diercks of Neillsville, Kaleb Winkler of Neillsville, and Cheyenne Diercks of Marshfield. Many extended families.
He was preceded in death by his father Stanley Coon and grandparents of both mother and father sides.
Special thanks to the staff at Northshore Health care at Marshfield, Marshfield Health Systems. Compass care and Lakeland care. Big thanks to all his coworkers at Kobussen bus at Marshfield, and the Marshfield school district teachers. Thanks to everyone that has helped.
