Michael Anthony Crivaro, 79, Urbandale, Iowa died Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Kavanagh House with his family at his side. Mike was born December 3, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa to Peter John and Betty June (Snell) Crivaro.

Mike graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Richmond K. Turner DLG-20 during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he spent his working career with Deluxe Check Printers in many capacities. He began as a pressman and worked his way up to management. After retiring from Deluxe, he started his own lawn care business. He then kept busy working part-time jobs and doing volunteer work. He especially enjoyed volunteering at the Urbandale Library.

Survivors include wife Alice Jane Crivaro, daughter Shelley (Chris) Welsh, son Michael (Dana) Crivaro, and granddaughter Kiley Crivaro. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Munyon.

Mike's family will greet friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Iles Westover Chapel, 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50322, with his funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa at 12:30pm.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's honor to the charity of your choice.
