Michael A. Cuddy Sr., cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, on December 4, 1959, to the late Arthur and Patricia (Fisher) Cuddy, Michael grew into a man whose life was defined by love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Michael was the beloved husband to the late Gerrie L. (Simpson) Cuddy. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and joy, a place where stories were shared and love was unconditional. He found his greatest happiness in the company of his family, relishing every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His garage was a sanctuary-a place where generations gathered, laughter echoed, and memories took root.

A true lover of music, Michael's days were often accompanied by the sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Thorogood, and all genres of tunes. His vibrant stories of growing up and living life to its fullest. Family and friends fondly recall his gift for storytelling, his knack for a great joke and the infectious spirit that made everything brighter.

Michael's legacy lives on through his children: Pamela Coletti and her husband Russell, Rebecca Cuddy, Michael Cuddy II, Lisa McNeil and her husband William, all of Middleboro, and Kevin Bryant of Iowa. He is also remembered by his brother, Jeffrey Cuddy of Brockton. Michael was the proud grandfather of seventeen and great-grandfather of six, each a reflection of his enduring love. He was also the brother of the late Thomas Cuddy and great-grandfather to the late Brayden Colletti.

To know Michael was to experience genuine kindness and warmth-qualities that endeared him to many and ensured that his presence will be dearly missed by many.

May his stories continue to inspire, and may his spirit remain ever present in the hearts of those who loved him.

Private services will be held to honor Michael's memory.
