Mr. Michael Ralph Cunnigham

Trenton, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Michael Ralph Cunningham will be held at the Cole Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dewayne Anderson officiating. Mr. Michael Ralph Cunningham, age 77, entered into rest on October 6, 2024 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was the son of the late Mr. Arthur Eugene Cunningham and the late Mrs. Mildred Arthip Cunningham. He was the loving husband to Mrs. Wanda Cunningham. He graduated from Bloomington Senior High School in 1965. Mr. Cunningham was a retired Marine and was an E7 Drill Instructor. He was promoted and reenlisted for six years during ceremonies held at Station operations and Engineering Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. His promotion was based on time in service and rank, military appearance, and his knowledge of selected military subjects. He served as an aircraft mechanic with the squadron. He served 1st Infantry in Vietnam. He worked with Automatic Switch Company and retired there after 32 years. He enjoyed collecting knives, but most importantly, he was a family man and enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren. Additional survivors include: two daughters, Melanie (Troy) Willing, Aiken and Miraya (Kevin) Freeland, Aiken; four grandchildren, Amber (Andrew) Abstance, Alexis Boatner, Blake Freeland, and Dillon Freeland. A visitation with the family will take place following the service. Please sign the online registry at www.colefuneralhomeinc.net.
