Michael Curran Obituary

Michael Curran, 71, of Carver, MA passed away after a lengthy illness on August 8. Michael was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Jamaica Plain before his family moved to Wilmington, MA where he attended and graduated from Wilmington High School. He still remembers fondly his time on the football field and kept in touch with some of his friends and teammates from back in the day. Michael enjoyed traveling, time with friends and fishing. He never forgot a birthday or holiday and always found time to send a message. He was caregiver to his grandfather and mother until their passing.
He leaves behind his daughter, Melissa Curran-Polan of Newmarket, NH and his three grandchildren, Benjamin, Melaina and Logan. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Patrick Curran of West Roxbury, MA; Madeleine Ferrera of Carver, Ma.; and his sister Madeleine (Doug) MacCallum of Groton, MA. He is survived by two sisters Marie (Bill) Walsh of Glen, NH; Amy (Ken) Curran of Sutton, Ma and his brother Tim (Julia) Curran of West Gardiner, ME. His family also included his late nephew Nick; surviving nephew Patrick and nieces Sydney and Samantha. His extended family included many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family is also grateful to Mike Weathers, a faithful friend and neighbor.
Services will be private.

Michael will be missed by his friends at Fresenius Plymouth. Always dapper in his ever-present fedora, he was gregarious and willing to talk about many topics of the day, especially sports. Michael will be forever in our memory and hearts.
