Ascend Funeral Home & Cremation CareMichael John Cyborowski, fondly known as "M&M," passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2025, in Wausau, Wisconsin. Born on August 8, 1972, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michael was a vibrant spirit whose larger-than-life personality touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A dedicated husband and father, Mike found immense pride in his roles within his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Cyborowski, and his cherished son, Braxtyn Cyborowski. Mike's heart was also filled with love for his stepdaughters, Peyton (David) Escobar, Mali (Colten) Quante, and Shaylee Kestler. Each of them held a special place in his heart as he nurtured their lives with sincere care and affection.
Mike was immensely proud of being a dad, always placing family first and enveloping them in his warmth and laughter. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, listening to rock n roll, woodworking, or simply taking naps. He was a known fixture at concerts and parties, enjoying moments that celebrated laughter and joy alongside his friends and family.
Mike's passion extended beyond leisure; he drove semi; hauling lumber for TnT Timber Hauling. Driving his semi-truck not only provided a livelihood but also filled him with a sense of freedom that he cherished deeply. He meticulously maintained his motorcycles and trucks, ensuring they remained in pristine condition, showcasing his dedication to excellence. In his downtime, he could be found having a beer or indulging in a Captain n Diet Coke, all while cheering on the Brewers and watching the Cowboys, his exuberance echoing through the hearts of those around him.
His outgoing, caring, and fun-loving nature was contagious. Mike was a friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a hearty laugh. His brothers, Ray "Peanut" (Nancy) Duerr and Bobbie (Molly) Duerr, his nieces Morgan, Hailey, and Samantha (Ryan), as well as his nephews Zach, Alex, and great-nieces Josephine, Ashlyn, and Emma along with a great nephew Holden and mother-in-law, Bonnie Shannon carry forward his legacy of love and camaraderie. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Mike's absence leaves an irreplaceable void, especially among his family and friends who admired him for his unwavering support and kindness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Patty Strebig, and father-in-law, Vern Shannon, all who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
As we remember Mike, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives, the love he shared, and the memories we continue to cherish. Though he has departed, the impact of his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Celebration of Mike's life will be held at The Rib Lake Ice Age Pavilion, 847 Fayette Ave., Rib Lake, Wisconsin, 54470, November 15th, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm.
