Michael Joseph Daly

Michael Joseph Daly, 86, of Dumont, passed away on November 6, 2024. He is survived by Mary (née Coleman), his wife of 60 years, his sons Michael, Jr. and his wife Kristine, John and his wife Patricia, Dennis and his wife Nicole. Cherished grandfather of Michael III (Heather), Ashlyn (Nicholas), Bryana, Mason, Devin, Aidan, Declan, Brandon, and great-grandfather of Jaxson and Colton. Michael is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth. Predeceased by his brothers, Daniel, Denis, John, and his sisters, Margaret, Breda, Nora.
Michael was born in Gneevgullia, County Kerry, Ireland to Elizabeth (née Regan) and Denis Daly. He immigrated to the Bronx, NY in 1962 before settling in Dumont in July, 1978. Michael was a Facility Manager at Toys R Us for many years, a member of the Knights of Columbus St. John's Council #1345 for 62 years, a Trustee and devoted member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, a member of Parents and Students of Irish Dancing & Music, Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart, and St. Joseph's Gaelic Football Club.
Visitation at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont on Sunday, November 10th, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass on Monday, November 11th, 10:00 AM. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Michael's memory to St. Mary's Church. Arrangements: Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, Dumont.
