Michael Charles Davis

Michael C. Davis, age 60 was born on June 25, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away after a lengthy illness on Feb. 22, 2025.
Mike graduated from Westerville South High School in 1982 where he was on the varsity golf team and a Graduate of Rutgers University. Owner of South Florida Golf & Turf Services, LLC.
He is preceded in death by his father James Davis.
Surviving him are his mother Rita Davis (Smith Mill Health Campus) New Albany. Siblings Ruth Hunter (Tab) formerly of Centerburg, Jim (Janet) Davis Westerville and Linda Faulk, Worthington.
Nieces and nephews Sam Myers, Amy Myers, Jordan Davis Bernstein, Jason Davis and Olivia Puterbaugh. Great NiecesHunter Myers, Morgan Myers and June Bernstein.
Michael (Mike) Davis is remembered by all for his Love for his Family and the expertise of his vision to capture design and detail of Golf Courses and Putting Greens. At the age of 12, he showed the 1st sign of this to be true when he opened his first business named Mikes Lawn Service. In High School Mike was an avid Golfer, some say he could have pursued the Professional side of Golf, but rather chose to build and design with mentors and friends Pete and PB Dye by his side. Prior to this goal, he took on Professional Positions starting with Muirfield Golf Course, followed by moving to Florida as Superintendent at West Palm Beach Polo & Golf Club, Fisher Island in South Miami, Heritage in Mason, OH, The Golf Club, Columbus, Ohio, Grove, Hope Sound, FL, Bucks Point Golf Club in Indiana, design and building in Brazil, and Dominican Republic, to name a few.
Outside of work, Mike enjoyed watching all sport events and spending time with his family and friends. Many hours spent on his immaculate homes with great attention to his pools, putting greens on his grounds, and the grasses of beauty to the eye.
The Family wants to Thank All who have supported us emotionally, not only in Ohio, but his Golf Family, who often came to be with Mike when they were in Ohio, and spoke to him frequently on the phone. A Private Celebration of Life will be held in March 2025 for Mike.
