Michael Clyde Davis

MICHAEL CLYDE (Mike) DAVIS, 73 of Fleming Island, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026. Mike was born on February 11th, 1953 in Erwin, Tn. to Clyde and Mardell Greene Davis. He grew up on the family farm in Limestone Cove where he was taught the value of responsibility and hard work. Mike's work history included the Clinchfield Railroad, COO of a Pest Control Company and was a consult in that field. After retirement he stayed busy working part time at Home Depot. Mike attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was an active Freemason. Mike was an avid hunter and in recent years enjoyed spending time at his hunting property in South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, niece Carrie Wickert, and nephew Jacob Wickert. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Gracie Gilpin Davis of Fleming Island, FL, his sister Linda Davis Wickert and husband Roger of Roanoke, VA, his sister Ann Davis Loyd of St. Augustine, Fl, and his brother Steve Davis and wife Theresa of Fleming Island, FL, as well as his four Stepdaughters Angela Reuger and husband Patrick, Amy L'Heureux and husband Joseph, Anita Smart and husband Richard, and Michelle Richardson and husband William.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pace Island Club House (1545 Royal Fern Ln, Fleming Island, FL 32003) on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers please send the family your favorite memory of Mike, a piece of wisdom he left behind, and/or a photograph to mdavis2201@gmail.com. These will be shown at the Celebration.
