Michael P. DeGregorio

Michael P. DeGregorio, 95, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Masonicare, Wallingford. He was the beloved husband to Rachel DeGregorio and the late Lorraine Mangler DeGregorio. Michael was born in New Haven on January 19, 1931, and was the son of the late Pietro Paolo and Emanuela Garguilo DeGregorio. He served his country faithfully in the US Army. Michael was the former owner of Dee's Bait Shop in New Haven and later worked as a machinist for Sandvik Coromant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid UConn women's basketball fan. Grandfather of Robert (Shannon), Patrick (Amy), and Mia (Andrew). Brother of Antoinette Mangler, Henry DeGregorio and the late Joseph, Frank, Nicholas DeGregorio, Anna Nowak, and Marie Ianniello. Also survived by six great grandchildren and son in law Robert Doody. Predeceased by his daughter Kathleen DeGregorio Doody, stepmother Theresa DeGregorio, step siblings Louise Pagliucca, Ann, Andrew, and Angelo Giannelli.

The visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 18th from 8:30 to 10:15 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven at 11:00 AM. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
