Michael Dennis DeLaney passed away on May 17, 2025 at the age of 66. Michael was born December 8, 1958 in Shelby County, TN to the late Ronald and Alice DeLaney nee Willhite.
Mike married the love of his life Kim Wilson on May 10, 2002 and they celebrated 23years together. Mike loved working with his hands, he was a great carpenter, he enjoyed drawing, and doing any kind of arts and crafts. Mike loved spending time out boating, water skiing, floating, camping, he loved riding his Harley Davidson with his beloved hummingbird (Kim), grilling, playing horseshoes and darts, his cats, and loved talking to Dug. Family meant the world to Mike, he loved them all dearly.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife Kim DeLaney nee Wilson. six children, Michael DeLaney, Dawn (Brian) Porter, Eric (Diana) Ehmke, Sarah (Matt) Vogelsang, David (Katie) Palmer, William (Allie) Palmer; father and mother in law, Mike and Sharon Lanius; 11 grandchildren, Cale, Shane, Nathan, Tristan, Dylan, Lilly, Kayden, Olivia, Jerry, Leo and baby girl Palmer; sister-in-laws, Sharon, Dawn, Michelle and Nicole; and many aunts, uncles, niece, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Timothy DeLaney.
Michael has left a lasting legacy behind that will continue to shine thru many years of stories shared from friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Kim DeLaney to assist with funeral expenses.
