Roger was born July 26th, 1935, to Fred and Hester (nee: Harlan) Schwartz. On December 15th, 1956, he married Delores Jean Gloe (Jeanie), and their union was blessed with three children.

Roger is preceded in death by both parents, his wife, his sister Joyce Fischer, and one son-in-law, David (Moon) Heitgerd.

He is survived by one brother, John Schwartz; three children: Debra Schwartz (Darwin Linnenbringer), Daniel Leon Schwartz (Pennelope Barber-Schwartz), and Constance Heitgerd; four grandchildren: Benjamin Schwartz, Heidi Heitgerd (Kenneth James), Dominic Schwartz (Hope Fry), Jesse Heitgerd, two step-grandchildren: Jessica Craven (Cody) and Luther Harris (Meagan); five great-grandchildren: Gavin Schwartz, Emerson James, Oliver James, Aurora James, Romy Eloise Schwartz; three step-great-grandchildren: Mariah Fish, Brantlee Craven, and Leon Grady Harris.

A lifelong farmer, hunter, and collector. Roger traveled all the country tractor pulling, hunting, fishing, and buying and selling at shows. He was rarely seen without one of his beloved dogs. He loved to visit with neighbors, tell stories, play cards, and he made friends wherever he went. He especially loved hosting family and friends for hunting parties and exploring the outdoors at his farm in Northern Missouri. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
