Michael Kelly Delaney

Michael Kelly Delaney, age 75, went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2025, in Knoxville, TN.
He was born on November 2, 1950, in Welch, West Virginia, to parents Estel J. and Betty J. Delaney. Michael was raised in the Karns community of Knoxville, TN, where he attended and graduated from Karns High School. He played baseball and football, and his football team won the Championship.
Michael joined the US Navy on February 6, 1969, where he proudly served for two years. During his service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal. After the military, he was a jack of all trades, where he could build anything. He was an over-the-road truck driver who traveled across the US.
He enjoyed racing cars, fishing, boating, and sports in his free time. He loved his family more than anything, especially playing with the grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Estel J. Delaney; mother, Betty J. Delaney; brother-in-law, Frank Huber.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Libby Delaney; daughter, Shannon (Dwayne) Bryant; son, Joshua Denton (Sara); sisters, Estella Jean Huber and Janet (John) Winslow; cousins, Betty (Randy) Sutherland and Christopher (Cassy) Walden; niece, Darcy Huber; nephews, Chip (Jessica) Huber and Gary Delaney Hancock (Wendy). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Braydon Delaney, Benttley Bryant, and Ashley Bryant.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Leah Hubbard and the in-home staff with Quality Private Duty Care. The family would also like to thank Elizabeth with Amedysis for the compassionate care she gave to Michael.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Click Funeral Home, Middlebrook Pike (9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923). A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation with Rev. Tim Lundy officiating. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 12 pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens (711 Easter Ridge Rd, Lenoir City, TN 37772).
