Michael Kenneth Doggett, age 35, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2024. He was born to Georganna Peterson in Fort Hood, Texas, on March 31, 1988.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Brandi; his loving grandmother, Jackie Doggett; his mother and step-father, Georganna and Jerry Peterson; his in-laws, Joshua Coder and Savannah, and James and Rachel Whitmire and their children, Rhys, Kyan, Lyam, and Lync. He is preceded in death by his sister, Misty Lynn May-Wilcox.
Michael was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him. He had an infectious personality and never met a stranger. With his warm smile and outgoing nature, he made everyone feel loved and important. Michael had a remarkable ability to remember faces and was truly a people person.
In his professional life, Michael found fulfillment in the service industry, dedicating over a decade to serving others. He discovered a passion for craft beer during his time at Red Horn Coffee House and Brewing Co., where he worked for eight years. It was there that he met his business partner, Safir Ahmed, and together they realized their dream of opening Obsidian Brewery last November. Michael poured his heart and soul into the brewery, and his legacy will live on in every pint.
Michael's joy knew no bounds when he learned that he and Brandi were expecting their first child, due in June. He was eagerly anticipating becoming a father and was filled with excitement for this new chapter of his life.
Cremation arrangements are under the compassionate care of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Michael's life and legacy.
Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort and strength during this difficult time, and may he forever live on in our hearts.

My husband and I met Doggett years ago at Red Horn when they opened. We were loyal customers before we moved away. Doggett was someone we will never forget. He always made us feel so welcomed as soon as we walked through the doors. We enjoyed getting to know him and are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Our condolences and prayers are with his family.

We did not know Doggett very well but attended a wedding celebration with him and Brandi years ago. Sounds like he was a very good man and well loved. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brandi, their baby on the way and her family whom we have known for 22 years and his family and all their friends and loved ones. May God continue to give you strength, peace and comfort each and every day!

I only found out about Michael's passing tonight. I will always remember how friendly and gracious Michael was to my wife and I . We were regular customers of Red Horn since their inception and often saw Micheal on weekends. We usually played board games at Red Horn and Michael. He loved boardgames and would always come by our table at Redhorn when my wife and I were playing and chat us up and shake my hand. He made game recommendations to us that we still enjoy today.

Michael was great to me and my family. Via dogsitting whenever needed, Michael was dependable, trustworthy, and respectful. We attended high school together, and were never "best friends" but we organically became great buddies. We needed no time to really bond to connect..we just did! Even years after graduating we kept in touch every once and awhile, and I rooted for him from a far. I will continue to root for you Michael. Your baby will always remind those closest to you of your loving and wonderful memory. I pray your wife, child, and family will continue to be blessed and be well. Much love to the family...be encouraged and stay strong. Rest peacefully, my friend..you'll forever be missed.

I will always remember his smile and energy. I am just a Red Horn regular, but Michael always greeted us with a huge smile and the greatest hug ever. Sometimes he would sit with us and we would chat about life. He knew everyone's name and that always amazed me since he would come across hundreds of people on a daily basis. That says something about his personality. His light was great and it saddens me his child won't be able to bask in it, but his legacy is great - appreciate life, love and respect all and simply enjoy the ride. I feel lucky our paths crossed. It is clear one doesn't need to be close to another person to realize how great they are. He truly was a giving soul.
My heartfelt condolences to Brandi, his family and friends. May your fond memories help you during this sad and difficult times.

I met Doggett my freshman year, on the swim team together. We also worked together at the CFA in the Killeen mall. I always remember Doggett being such a great guy. Funny, loud, encouraging, and just all around positive guy. He is missing greatly.

That he was the loudest greeter at mission church ready to greet & encouraged me to be one too! His warm smile & laugh & friendliness is one reason we stayed! My daughters adored him & my son thought he was the coolest! He was an amazing man & would have been an amazing father! He was so good with kids!

He couldn't let you pass without a a sign of affirmation. One of the reasons I loved coaching on his end of the pool was because of the energy and positivity he lived in. Love you brother.

We had the pleasure of serving under Michael´s leadership at the Austin Stone Community Church. Every week he made all of us feel special, important, seen and valued. He always deflected praise away from himself to his team. I will remember him as a joyful, selfless, Godly man until I meet him again in heaven.

Michael loved like Jesus teaches us to love. He was so pure in heart.
He always had a big hug and "I love you" for me. That last time I saw him he was laughing and sharing about his next idea for the menu. I loved that beautiful smile and I will keep his memory in my heart forever

First Memory: Rachel and James brought Michael and Brandi over to our house for bloody Mary´s several years ago. We hit it off so much that him and Brandi stayed a couple hours after Rachel and James had already gone home.

We will forever remember you as a cherished lifelong friend who always offered everyone a smile. As kids we very much enjoyed super Mario, stuffed crust pizza, running around outside, and jumping on a trampoline as often as we could. You were a bright light in this world and we were all so eager to see you begin your journey as a Dad. May your wife Brandi find the strength she needs to get through this devastating time.. she was so loved by Michael. We will miss you forever, buddy.

My daughter and I met Doggett about 5 years ago at Red Horn, after she had moved to Round Rock, super friendly and always remembered my name and hers when we came in. One of our first friends we both had there. We both will miss his smile and friendly face.
