Michael A. Drollette

Michael A. Drollette, 80, of Champlain passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital.
Born at home in Saranac, Mike graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. After a brief stint at Ayerst Labs, Mike served his country as a U.S. Customs Inspector for 25 years in the Champlain District, with temporary assignments to Toronto, Canada and El Paso, Texas; as a member of the Cumberland Head Fire Department; and as an Army reservist at Fort Dix and Fort Drum. He loved golf and was a member at the North Country Golf Club for many years, where he achieved holes-in-one on two occasions.
Mike was preceded in death by his brothers Roger Drollette, Lyman "Bub" Drollette, Wayne Drollette, and sisters Joan Drollette and Joyce Drollette. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Drollette of Hellertown, Pennsylvania, son John Drollette of Bend, Oregon, his grandson Zachary Drollette of Bend, Oregon, and brother David Drollette of Cumberland Head.
Visitation will be held from 2-4PM on Sunday March 9 at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Interment will take place in the Spring at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dannemora.
