It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael George Drury, who completed his earthly journey on January 7, 2024. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts, on July 7, 1964, Michael was a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him.
Michael, a man who personified the words of Albert Einstein, "Only a life lived for others is worth living," was a beacon of reliability and generosity. His willingness to always go above and beyond for others was a testament to his compassionate and thoughtful nature. A dedicated machine operator for the majority of his career, he retired from Garlock and found joy in simple pleasures. He was a skilled pool player and found solace in the peaceful ambience of Old Orchard beach. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his precious grandson, Joseph Karam. The bond they shared was truly special and will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who witnessed it.
Predeceased by his parents, Allen and Verna Drury, Michael is survived by his loving daughter, Chelsea Drury, and his supportive brothers, David and Robert Drury. To his family and friends, Michael was more than just a reliable, generous, compassionate, and thoughtful person—he was a true embodiment of selfless love and a living testament to the virtues of kindness and generosity.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Michael, we invite everyone who knew him to celebrate his life by sharing memories and uploading photos to his memorial page. His life has touched many hearts, and it is through our collective memories that his legacy will continue to live on. Let us honor his journey, remember his kindness, and keep his spirit alive in our hearts and minds.
