Michael Alfred Dubuisson

Michael (Mike) Alfred Dubuisson, 76, passed away on December 1, 2022. Mike was born in Moline, Illinois on October 15, 1946, to Emil and Bertha (DeDoncker) Dubuisson. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Illinois State University where he met his wife Catherine (Cathy) Anne McKean. After graduating, he passed the CPA exam, and worked as an accountant before his retirement in 2012.
Mike had lived in his Clive, Iowa home since 1980, where he and Cathy raised their three daughters, Dena (Jay) Robinson of Des Moines, Diana Dubuisson of West Des Moines, and Donna (Matt) Dzievit of Johnston.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren, Joshua Robinson, Cecelia Dzievit, and Elizabeth Dzievit. He also enjoyed playing card games, reading, volunteering at church (including driving the church bus for many years), watching sports (Hawkeyes, Chiefs, and Cubs), water fitness classes at Mercy, traveling, and the company of his cat, Simba.
His favorite place to travel was Williamsburg, Virginia and he was returning from his annual trip to Orlando, Florida when he passed.
Mike is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, sisters: Berta Garcia of Rock Island, Illinois and Claire Gordon of Davenport, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Patrick, Mary, Theresa, Janet, and Martin, and his wife of 45 years, Cathy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
