Michael G. Eldridge Sr. (73) of Indianapolis, IN. passed away on Friday November 24, 2023.

Michael, fondly known as Big Mike or Freeze was born to Willie and Joann Eldridge, on February 9, 1950,in Indianapolis, IN

Michael is survived by his siblings John Eldridge Sr(Thelma), Donna Arnold, Joellen “Jodie” Coe(Robert), Lori Eldridge, Cathy Dancy (Arthur); his kids  Michael G.Eldridge Jr. (Dashonna), Tameika Eldridge (Jovan), Crystal Eldridge-Williams (Jason), Shatori Eldridge, Terona Cleveland 

Michael is preceded in death by his Parents Willie and Joann Eldridge
Brothers David T Eldridge,William “Tony” Eldridge,Curtis Bacon,sister Geneva “Viki” Kennedy and a host of other relatives.

Michael was an amazing Dad, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, friend a father figure to many he always had advice for everyone and would talk you until he dozed off. He was admired and loved by many, a hard worker and great provider. He would give his last to any in need.

He attended Bishop Chatard High School for his studies and later enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country from 1969-1971 being honorably discharged Michael would later meet his wife Nancy L. Penman whom he married in 1971-2005 but remained friends to his very last day on earth.

Michael also retired from Allison Transmission after over 20 years,and also Indianapolis Public School #31 for over 10 years and finally retiring for good Michael loved to watch football,watch his stories Young & The Restless if you called him during this time he would cut you off and say “MY STORIES ARE ON TALK TO YOU LATER "and laugh in his raspy voice he also liked to collect zippo lighters, knives guns and coins. Michael always put family first and loved all of us he will be greatly missed by many.

A visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care - Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis IN 46250, on Friday 12/8/2023 from 10:30am to 12:30pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:30pm. He will be laid to rest in New Crown Cemetery.
