Michael Jennis Endicott

Michael Jennis Endicott, 61 years of age, of Grundy, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his residence. Born January 6, 1964, he was the son of Victoria Endicott Stacy and the late Walter Gennis Endicott.
Michael was known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and the way he could make anyone laugh with his jokes. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and sharing moments that will forever be cherished. Music was a lifelong passion of his, and he loved to play and listen to it whenever he could. Michael took joy in coal truck driving and being called "Tin Man" by his closest trucking friends.
Those who knew Michael will remember him as a man who spoke his mind, never afraid to tell you exactly what he thought, yet always ready to follow it with a smile and words of encouragement. No matter the circumstance, he made sure the people he loved knew he was proud of them.
Michael's presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother Walter Endicott, Jr.
Survivors include his mother Victoria Endicott Stacy of Vansant, VA; daughters Natausha Thompson and husband Bobby of Abingdon, VA, Tiffany Bennett and husband Brandon of Grundy, VA; son Michael Endicott and wife Kristina of Vansant, VA; ex-wife Diana Yates Endicott of Grundy, VA; and sister Shelia Sheppard of Vansant, VA.
He is also survived by grandchildren Kenneth Thompson, Kendra Thompson, Brayden Bennett, Rylee Bennett, Tobias Endicott, Daxton Endicott, Mathias Endicott and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Michael Jennis Endicott will be held at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Grundy, VA, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 12:00 noon with Pastor Danny Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Fletchers Cemetery, Looney's Creek Rd., Grundy, VA.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday after 6:00 p.m.
