Michael Esquivel Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 20, 2024.
With a heavy heart, our family would like to announce the passing of Michael David Esquivel. He was born September 18, 1952. He was raised in West Covina, by Magdalena (Deceased) and Manuel Esquivel (96 Living) along with his eight siblings.
During his high school years, he met his wife Linda Sue Cutler (Married 50 years this May 4, 2024). They relocated to Apple Valley, CA in 1989 where they raised their three children Ryan, Chad, and April. Mike was involved in the community where he coached baseball, soccer, and basketball. He affected many kids' lives with his fun loving way of coaching.
Mike was a part of Carpenters Southwest Administrative Corporation, which he worked for 33 years before he retired in 2006. He was a part of the chain gang for Apple Valley High School's Football team and continued to do so for over 20 years.
Later in retirement is when he began his most important job with his favorite people, his grandchildren Mckenzie, Gavin, Alia, and Cole. He loved caring for his grandchildren, driving them to school, taking them to practice and cheering at their games. His most favorite time was taking them to breakfast, which was always his favorite meal of the day.
Overall, Mike was a huge family man and friend survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and his two daughter-in-law's Crystal and Andria Esquivel. Mike passed peacefully on February 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family members.
