Our beloved Father Soulaphonh Sechang, 59, of Moreno Valley, passed away suddenly of natural causes on April 13, 2024.
He was born in Savannakhet Laos, on April 30, 1965 to Phath and Siene (Pucumsorn) Sechang.
Pon was a graduate of Apple Valley High School. He pursued a career as an auto mechanic and loved fixing anything. Those who knew him appreciated his skill and talent as a handyman. Not only was he a hard worker, but he knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. His greatest joys include spending quality time with family and friends whether it was through hunting, boating, motorcycle riding, or camping. His love for others is evident in how he made others feel loved, cared for, and seen without asking for anything in return.
Pon was survived by a daughter, Nina (Trent) Dueck, and son, Scott; two grandchildren, Kai and Malachi; his mother, Siene; four brothers, Sakhonh (Pauline), Obon (Sandy), Thiane, Mongkhonh and one sister, Vilamonh; plus numerous nephews and nieces. He shared the last years with his loving partner, Tina Thongrivong.
He was preceded in death by his father, Phath Sechang.
Viewing and Memorial service will be held at Colton Funeral Home.
