Michael William Evans age 59 of Tusculum passed away Thursday July 31, 2025. He was longtime employed with Artazn. If he wasn't hopping in the car to go on a spontaneous adventure with the love of his life and best friend, Shannon, then you could probably find him playing a game of golf with his brother, Randy, or working at his farm in Chuckey. He loved music and was a talented guitar player and although singing wasn't his thing, he would break out in song and sing "Let it go" for his granddaughter, Josie. The greatest joys of his life were his girls. There is no other husband, dad, or poppy that could compare to him. Although the loss is immeasurable, there is peace in knowing that this is temporary and we will all be reunited one day.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Shannon Ambrose Evans, 2 daughters and son-in-law Katie and Jesse McNeese and Grace Evans, granddaughter Josie McNeese, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law Judy and Kenneth Holtsclaw and Jane and Jim Allen, brother and sister-in-law Randy and Patricia Evans, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Kelly and Josh Jones, Hal Ambrose, and Matt Ambrose, nieces and nephews Jeremy and Lance Holtsclaw, Josh and Corinne Allen, Jabez and Lindsay Evans, Garrison and Gracie Jones, Trey Ambrose, and lots of loved extended family. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Saturday August 2, 2025 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The graveside service will be 1pm Sunday in Graceland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Allen and Dr. David Green officiating. Pallbearers will be Ben Allen, Jacob Allen, Josh Allen, Jabez Evans, Jeremy Holtsclaw, Lance Holtsclaw, Garrison Jones, and Josh Jones.
