After graduating high school, Mike joined the Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Returning home to Berkshire County, Mike worked as an ironworker for many years with Farrell and Gregory.
He had a love for the outdoors, whether it was hunting fishing or spending hours working, and caring for his garden. Mike never missed a Sunday call with his out of town kids and always made sure the youngest grand-boys had a good sugar rush.
Mr. Farrell is survived by his wife, Catherine Farrell; Five children, Thomas Farrell and wife Tiffany, Martin Farrell and wife Whitney, Shane Farrell, Angela Farrell and partner Kim, Michelle and husband David Zullo II.; Six grandchildren, Thomas Farrell, Bryer Farrell, Ryker Farrell, David Zullo III, Mia Zullo and Milan Zullo.
Per his wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to Shriners Hospital in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
